Making the Quesadilla Tacos

This genius combination of melted cheese and crispy tortillas will revolutionize your taco experience.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of butter (you can use oil as an alternative)
  • Small tortillas (fajita size)
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet or a pan over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Place one small tortilla in the pan and add a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  3. Carefully place another tortilla over the cheese to create a quesadilla sandwich.
  4. Allow the cheese to melt and the tortilla to crisp up on one side before flipping it over to cook the other side.

Assembling the Quesadilla Tacos

Now comes the moment of truth – assembling your quesadilla tacos with you favorite meat or vegetable filling and your favorite toppings.

Taco Fixings:

  • Shredded lettuce
  • Salsa
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded cheese
  • Additional cilantro (optional)

Final Steps

  1. Take a quesadilla shell and fill it with some of your favorite taco meat or vegetables.
  2. Top the steak with shredded lettuce, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, and any other fixings you desire.
  3. Add a sprinkle of fresh cilantro for an extra burst of flavor.

Recommended Taco Filling: Marinated Steak

I recommend this sensational steak marinade that brings incredible flavor to these tacos. This marinade is versatile and works well with chicken too. Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil (or any oil you have on hand)
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice (fresh or store-bought)
  • 1/2 packet of taco seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions:

  1. In a Ziploc bag, combine the olive oil, orange juice, lime juice, taco seasoning, cumin, and chopped cilantro.
  2. If using steaks, place them in the marinade and ensure they are well-coated. For chicken, you can do the same.
  3. Seal the bag and let the meat marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight for maximum flavor infusion.

Cooking the Steak:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  2. Take the marinated steaks out of the refrigerator and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake the steaks for about 15 minutes or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  4. Once done, remove the steaks from the oven and set them aside and slice them when you’re ready to add them to your tacos!
