World Famous Ham And Cheese Sliders Recipe

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe·Leave a Review

A few years back, my mother-in-law made these sliders with ham and cheese for a little get together and the rest is history! These sliders have been requested again and again and we even make them on our summer lake trip year after year. Why not add a new family favorite to the rotation by giving these a shot?

A Family Favorite

When I mention I’m making these to my 7 year old, he jumps up and down with joy! They are such a hit, I usually have to make a double batch to make sure we have enough for everyone. These sliders are one of those things, you can’t just have 1! They offer a burst of flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients:

For the Butter Sauce:

  • ¾ cup melted butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 ½ tablespoons poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning

For the Sliders:

  • 1 pound deli ham
  • ½ pound sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 package of 12 slider buns

How to Make Them:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, dried minced onion, and poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning.
  3. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer half the deli ham then the Swiss cheese, followed by the rest of the ham evenly over the bottom halves of the slider buns.
  5. Place the top halves of the slider buns over the ham and cheese to close the sandwiches.
  6. Pour the butter sauce evenly over the sliders, ensuring each one is coated using a basting brush.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the sliders are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy the irresistible flavors!
