Great news! We’re saying goodbye to January and stepping into the month of love. Personally, I can’t wait for a family ski trip and catching a hockey game with my husband – the perfect winter adventures! How about you? Any fun plans to embrace these chilly months?
This week, I’ve lined up some fantastic meals that I can’t wait to share. Let’s make this week a cozy and delicious one together!
I will continue to provide free weekly meal plans through 2024! Each plan follows the design of my “Stick to Your Budget Checklist” and includes 3 pantry friendly meal options (at least one of which is vegetarian), 3 budget conscious recipes, and assumes 1 leftovers day. There are also 2 breakfast options and a sweet treat to try!
Monday: You can use canned beans or do it the “Maria way” and cook up a pound of dried black beans that you can use in these black bean crunch wraps and in the rice tomorrow night!
Tuesday: Fried rice is a winner in all forms, this Mexican Fried Rice is a fabulous pantry friendly twist on the age old classic.
Wednesday: I’m obsessing over this Slow Cooker Ritz Chicken! Everyone loves it and it isn’t getting old!
Thursday: The crockpot is working hard this week! This Crock Pot Turkey Tenderloin is so delicious and herby. Serve it with Air Fried Brussels Sprouts and Fluffy Mashed potatoes and you’ll be transported back to November!
Friday: I just re-visited this Detroit Style Pizza in my video The 23 best recipes of 2023 and I realized what an unsung hero it is. While it’s a bit more effort than my normal recipes, it’s worth it! I promise!
Saturday or Sunday (one night is leftovers): It’s a weekend for Hearty Hamburger Soup and some Homemade Crusty Bread. But, if you don’t have time for bread, try grabbing some Pillsbury biscuits (they’re always a hit in my house!).
And, if. You’re not into soup and you’re watching the NFL Championship Games on Sunday, I just published my Top 10 Game Day Recipes so be sure to check those out!
For Breakfast: It’s been a while since Crustless Quiche took the spotlight and that’s just not fair. This is a perfect make ahead dish you can re-heat all week!
On these cold weekends, I like to make an easy casserole to warm everyone up. This Apple Cinnamon Roll Casserole is perfect for just that.
For a Sweet Treat: These Fudgy Lunch Lady Brownies are new to the blog and they deserve some love. They take a little bit of time but I promise you they are worth it! It makes a big batch so they are great to share with friends!
I hope you have the most magnificent week and eat well for less!
