I really despise wasting food. I will save anything I can get my hands on and try my best to use it well. These are my favorite leftovers recipes that we make again and again!
Power Salad
I love to make a salad with leftover grilled chicken and anything else I can find in my pantry. This Mediterranean salad was born based on what I had on hand. Get the full recipe here!
Big Mac Wrap
I love to make a twist on the Big Mac because it’s so delicious but I hate purchasing fast food. This wrap is absolutely perfect for your leftover hamburgers! Get the full recipe here!
Steak Wrap
This steak wrap is more of a no-recipe, recipe. You don’t need anything specific, I just find it helpful to use leftover, marinated steak sliced up in a wrap with other things I have on hand. In this case, I used some spinach leaves, sliced avocado, red onion, shredded carrots, and Chick-Fil-A sauce. But go ahead and use whatever you have on hand to make your own delicious wrap!
Bone Broth
Create a rich and nourishing Homemade Chicken Bone Broth from leftover chicken, perfect for adding depth of flavor to your soups and stews, and maximize your chicken leftovers in two different meals. Get the full recipe here.
Or, if you’re looking for something easier that takes less time, there is a Simple broth recipe to try.
Chicken Sweet Potato Skillet
I came up with this sweet potato chicken skillet on the fly. When trying to use up leftover chicken and shop my pantry this delicious skillet meal was born! Get the full recipe here!
Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti
Indulge in the delightful flavors of my Chicken Spaghetti Casserole – a creamy, cheesy, and comforting dish that’s simple to prepare. This savory casserole combines tender pasta, succulent chicken, and a rich, homemade sauce with a hint of heat from diced tomatoes and green chilies. It’s a satisfying family meal that’s budget-friendly and perfect for busy weeknights. Give it a try and enjoy a cozy, homemade dinner that everyone will love. Get the full recipe here!
Ham and Potato Pancakes
These are great for any leftover mashed potatoes but, if you don’t have any today, be sure to save this recipe for after Thanksgiving or Easter! Get the full recipe here!
Baked Potatoes with leftovers
Top baked potatoes with any scraps from the fridge or freezer. Top baked potatoes with chili, taco meat, black beans, or broccoli and cheddar.
BBQ Chicken Salad Sandwich
I grew up eating these sandwiches. Every time we had leftover bbq chicken in the summer, my mom would cut up the chicken the next day, mix with with a generous amount of mayo, and plop it on a burger bun or sandwich bread. It’s that simple but the mayo and bbq sauce are a really delicious combo!
Fried Rice
This recipe is for a delicious chicken and shrimp fried rice. But basically fried rice can be made with any protein you have on hand or none at all, if you’d like to go vegan! Go ahead and modify this recipe based on what you have on hand and enjoy! Get the full recipe here!
