How to Make a Baked Potato Bar

Filed Under: Dinner, Lunch February 11, 2024

A Baked Potato Bar is a budget friendly treat that any family will be happy to indulge in! Let me show you how to Make a Baked Potato Bar and put a big smile on your family’s face without breaking the bank!

How it All Starts

The key to a baked potato bar really starts with the perfect baked potato. I like to lather mine in oil and salt, stick it with a fork and bake it at 300 degrees for 90 minutes. This recipe here will do the trick!

How to Make it Extra Fun

The fun part of serving baked potatoes for dinner is all in the toppings! Baked potatoes are super pantry friendly not only because potatoes themselves are very cheap but because you can top them with anything you have on hand! A Baked Potato Bar is a great way to use up those odds and ends you have in your fridge or pantry.

Here are some of my favorite toppings:

  • Shredded cheese (I just use odds and ends of whatever I have in my cheese drawer)
  • Chili (Use frozen of leftover chili you made or just grab a can!)
  • Sour cream
  • Butter
  • Bacon bits (you can use fresh cooked bacon, real bacon bits form Walmart or Costco, or the shaker type of bacon bits you can get at Dollar Tree)
  • Sliced scallions
  • Frozen or fresh cooked broccoli

I always appreciate this community being helpful! Comment your favorite baked potato toppings below!

Try it for Yourself!

I hope this encourages you to scrounge up some toppings and make a beautiful baked potato bar for your family! Doing this really allows everyone to enjoy what they like and have fun while doing it!
