If you’re looking for a fun and delicious recipe to make for your next get-together, look no further than Betty White’s soy sauce chicken wings. Yes, you read that right: the beloved actress and comedian has a chicken wing recipe, and it’s amazing.
How to Make These Soy Sauce Chicken Wings
You will want to set aside a little time to make this recipe. While it isn’t complicated, you will need t marinate the chicken and make the sauce. Start by melting butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, water, dry mustard, and garlic powder in a pot, and then let the mixture cool before pouring it over the chicken wings.
My Modifications
I personally, love to marinade any meat in a Ziploc bag. I just feel like it gets better coverage. You’ll need to marinade these for at least 2 hours hence the need to plan ahead. These are also great to put together the night before. If you go overnight I bed the flavors will be even better!
In the original recipe Betty used whole wings, so they cooked for quite some time, up to an hour an a half! Using wing pieces I was able to cut that down to only 45 minutes. Because there is sugar in the marinade, your oven may smoke a bit but don’t worry, it’s worth it! These soy sauce chicken wings are glazed with the delicious sauce, fall-off-the-bone tender, and perfect for a potluck or girls’ get-together.
Time to Get Cooking!
Whether you follow the original recipe or make some modifications like I did, Betty White’s soy sauce chicken wings are sure to be a hit at your next party. They’re easy to make, delicious, and a fun way to pay homage to the beloved actress and comedian. So get your girls together, put on some Golden Girls episodes, and enjoy some Betty White chicken wings!
