Growing up, there was always one dish that held a special place in my heart: quiche. It wasn’t just any quiche, though—it was a savory, comforting creation that my mom lovingly crafted for each of my birthdays. From the moment I took my first bite, I was hooked. There was something about the creamy texture, the flaky crust, and the delightful combination of ingredients that made it irresistible. Now, as an adult, I’ve carried on the tradition of making quiche, with bacon and broccoli being my go-to flavors for special occasions like Easter and Mother’s Day. Let’s dive into my Bacon Broccoli Quiche Recipe!
The Tips and Tricks I’ve Picked Up Through The Years
As I’ve continued to explore the world of quiche-making, I’ve uncovered a few secrets along the way—tips and tricks that have elevated my creations from good to extraordinary:
- Embrace the Cheese: Cheese is an integral part of a quiche and should not be skimped on. Be generous with your cheese selection and watch as it adds richness and depth of flavor to your quiche.
- Opt for Store-Bought Crust: While homemade crusts can be delicious, don’t hesitate to use store-bought crusts for convenience. They’re just as tasty and save you valuable time in the kitchen.
- Indulge in Cream: If you have the option, use cream instead of milk in your quiche mixture. The richness of cream adds a luxurious texture and enhances the overall flavor.
- Get Creative with Toppings: Don’t be afraid to experiment with toppings. Whether it’s bacon, broccoli, or other ingredients you love, feel free to customize your quiche to suit your tastes.
With these tips in mind, you’ll be well-equipped to create the perfect quiche every time. So, whether you’re hosting a brunch with friends or simply craving a cozy homemade meal, whip up a quiche with bacon and broccoli and savor every delicious bite. Happy cooking!

Indulge in savory perfection with my Bacon and Broccoli Quiche. This delightful dish combines crisp bacon, tender broccoli, and creamy cheese in a flaky crust for a taste sensation that’s sure to impress. Whether you’re hosting brunch or craving a comforting dinner, this quiche is sure to satisfy.
Ingredients
- 9 inch pie crust (homemade or store bought)
- 6 eggs
- 3/4 cup cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 6oz cooked bacon – crumbled
- 1 cup cooked broccoli spears cut into bite sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon sliced scallions (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Whisk eggs, cream, salt, and pepper.
- If the pie crust doesn’t already come in a pie pan, drape it over a 9 inch pie pan and cinch the edges to make a cute crust. Alternatively, you can just use a fork all the way around. That looks good too.
- Place 3/4 of the cheese in the bottom of the pie crust.
- Top that with the bacon, broccoli and scallions.
- Pour the egg mixture over the top and top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 40 minutes until set in the center.
- Let cool for 7-10 minutes before slicing and eating!
Notes
I like to use frozen broccoli spears to make things easy. Just microwave according to package instructions and slice them up a bit extra.
Alternatively, defrosted frozen spinach is a good option instead of broccoli as well.
