prosciutto burrata salad drizzled with balsamic glaze

Looking for a side that screams fancy but doesn’t require a lot of time or effort? My Burrata Caprese with Prosciutto is the ultimate “lazy girl fancy” recipe. Perfect for holidays, dinner parties, or casual gatherings, this salad comes together in minutes and looks like it came from a high-end restaurant. The combination of creamy burrata, salty prosciutto, and sweet grape tomatoes is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, and trust me—it’s gone before anyone has a chance to take a second serving.

How to Make Burrata Caprese with Prosciutto

Ingredients

  • 1 box of mixed greens (or your preferred salad base)
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes, multicolored if possible
  • 1 ball burrata cheese (about 8 oz)
  • 1 package prosciutto (about 4 oz)
  • Balsamic glaze or balsamic reduction, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Spread the mixed greens evenly on a large serving platter.
  2. Sprinkle the grape tomatoes over the top. Multicolored tomatoes look best and make the salad pop.
  3. Tear the burrata into bite-sized pieces and scatter them randomly over the greens.
  4. Roll each slice of prosciutto into a flower shape and place randomly around the salad.
  5. If not serving immediately, refrigerate until ready.
  6. Just before serving, drizzle balsamic glaze over the top for a fancy, finished look.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: You can prep the salad base and assemble the burrata and prosciutto ahead of time. Drizzle balsamic just before serving to keep everything fresh.
  • Substitutions: If you don’t have burrata, fresh mozzarella works as a slightly firmer alternative.
  • Serving Tip: Use a large platter to make it look more extravagant and serve family-style.
