Ingredients

  • Chicken Breasts (2 large, boneless and skinless)
  • Packaged Stuffing Mix (2 cups)
  • Maple Sausage (1/2 pound)
  • Onion (1 medium, chopped)
  • Celery (2 stalks, chopped)
  • Apple (1, peeled and diced)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Seasonings (e.g., Salt, Pepper, Sage, Rosemary)
  • Olive Oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Toothpicks (for securing stuffed chicken)

Instructions

  1. Flatten chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with your choice of seasonings.
  2. In a pan, cook maple sausage using your favorite method (pan or microwave). Remove and set aside.
  3. In a large pan, add olive oil and sauté onions, celery, and apple until softened.
  4. Add minced garlic and continue to cook for another minute.
  5. Add the stuffing mix and cook according to the package instructions.
  6. Once the stuffing is done add the cooked sausage (slice it, if needed) and mix well.
