The holiday events and Christmas parties have begun! It’s a pretty normal week of eating around here except for a few days we’ll be going to events. So, if you too, are going to an event and need to bring a treat, check out my tried and true dessert recipes. And if you’re looking for something more savory, check out the 10 best Christmas recipes to please a crowd!
For the remainder of 2023, I’m providing free weekly meal plans. Each plan follows the design of my “Stick to Your Budget Checklist” and includes 3 pantry friendly meal options (at least one of which is vegetarian), 3 budget conscious recipes, and assumes 1 leftovers day. There are also 2 breakfast options and a sweet treat to try!
Monday: You can make these Chicken Bacon Ranch Baked Potatoes or just bake a potato and put out whatever toppings you already have on hand! I love to have mine with broccoli and cheddar, for “meatless Monday”
Tuesday: These quesadilla tacos are double the fun! A cheesy quesadilla shell elevates the classic taco, you can use the steak in this recipe, or go traditional with ground beef or even black beans.
Wednesday: You can modify this hamburger casserole to what you have on hand. Swap beef for turkey or chicken, tomato soup for marinara, cheddar for mozzarella and the list goes on! Last time I made it, I added Alfredo sauce and some leftover Rotel, it was delicious!
Thursday: This crockpot chicken spaghetti is a family friendly treat! We always go back for seconds and wonder why we don’t make this more often! There are a lot of canned goods in this one and you could even use canned chicken if you don’t have fresh!
Friday: I always like to make something a little more special on Friday night. This Balsamic Salmon is one you’ll make again and again!
Saturday or Sunday (choose one day for leftovers): Make one day easy on the weekend by having a leftovers day and for the other one, make a special Mississippi roast. I always want to try new pot roast recipes, but somehow always default to this one because it really is the absolute best.
For Breakfast: Let’s serve up some healthy banana splits! Perhaps use holiday sprinkles to make them really festive!
Slow Cooker Monkey bread- This is a fun treat to try for the holidays and pairs really well with coffee!
For a Sweet Treat: I’m continuing with my own personal cookie countdown so we’re making up some of these delightful oatmeal snickerdoodles. I swear the extra texture added by the oatmeal makes all the difference!
I hope you have a wonderful week!
