Description

These Italian sliders are a healthier twist on a classic sandwich, using nitrate-free Applegate meats and homemade sourdough rolls made with organic ingredients. Packed with savory Italian meats, fresh veggies, and creamy avocado mayo, these sliders are the perfect bite-sized meal for any occasion!

  • Slider rolls (preferably homemade sourdough, sliced in half)

  • 1 small head of organic romaine lettuce

  • 1 package Applegate organic ham

  • 1/2 package Applegate nitrate-free salami

  • 1/2 package Applegate grass-fed pepperoni

  • 2 tablespoons mild banana peppers

  • 1 Grillo pickle (or your favorite brand)

  • 1/4 of a red onion, finely sliced

  • 4 slices grass-fed cheddar cheese

  • 4 tablespoons avocado mayo

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons Primal Kitchen Italian seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salad Base:
    Lay the organic romaine lettuce on a cutting board and spread it out flat. Using a sharp knife, chop the lettuce into small, bite-sized pieces.

  2. Chop the Meats and Veggies:
    Finely chop the Applegate organic ham, nitrate-free salami, and grass-fed pepperoni. Add them to the chopped lettuce. Then chop the banana peppers, Grillo pickle, and red onion and add them to the mix.

  3. Add the Cheese and Seasonings:
    Tear the grass-fed cheddar cheese into small pieces and add it to the mixture. Add avocado mayo, Italian seasoning, Primal Kitchen Italian seasoning, and red wine vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Mix Everything Together:
    Thoroughly mix the ingredients until everything is well combined.

  5. Assemble the Sliders:
    Open the sourdough slider rolls and fill each with the chopped mixture. Ensure the mixture is packed tightly into each roll. Cut into 12 equal portions.

  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    Serve immediately for the freshest flavor. These sliders are perfect for a fun lunch, dinner, or appetizer!
