Ingredients

1 bag frozen tater tots

1 pound ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning (prepare according to package instructions)

2 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (or more to taste)

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup salsa (mix of red salsa and salsa verde for a festive look)
Instructions

Preheat your oven and cook the frozen tater tots according to the package instructions.

While the tots are baking, cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add the taco seasoning and prepare it according to the package directions. Stir until the beef is evenly coated and flavorful.

When the tater tots have about 5 minutes left to cook, remove them from the oven.

Spread the seasoned taco meat evenly over the tater tots.

Sprinkle 2 or more cups of shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese over the top.

Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and drizzle with sour cream and salsa. For a festive look, use a combination of red salsa and salsa verde.
