orange and green charcuterie board in a gold rinmmed dish and on a shamrock green and white dish towel

If this board doesn’t scream St. Patrick’s Day, then I don’t know what does! It’s the perfect balance of green and orange to celebrate the special Irish holiday. I’m including some unique and festive touches to make this board stand out: fancy-cut kiwis, a shamrock brie wheel, and hummus served inside a halved green pepper to resemble a shamrock for dipping! To top it all off, I arranged everything on a gold-rimmed plate from Target Dollar Spot and set it on a St. Patrick’s Day dish towel from Dollar Tree—affordable and festive!

Ingredients for a St. Patrick’s Day Charcuterie Board

  • Green grapes
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 mandarin orange
  • 1 wheel of brie
  • Apricot jam (or pesto for a green option)
  • Your favorite bread (I used homemade sourdough slices)
  • Irish cheddar cheese
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • Hummus
  • Crackers (I used our favorite gluten-free crackers, Tropical)
  • Orange cheese balls (I used Lesser Evil pizza-flavored cheese puffs)

How to Assemble Your St. Patrick’s Day Charcuterie Board

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  • Fancy-Cut Kiwi: Take a small knife and cut a zig-zag pattern all the way around the kiwi (think Charlie Brown’s iconic shirt). Pull the pieces apart to reveal a beautiful star shape. You can see the technique in action on my Instagram tutorial!

  • Shamrock Brie Wheel: Slice about 1/4 off the top of your brie, leaving 3/4 intact. Spread apricot jam (or pesto) over the bottom section. On the top piece, use a small knife or a shamrock-shaped cookie cutter to carve a shamrock. Place the top back onto the brie, allowing the jam to show through the cut-out shape.

Grab your own shamrock cookie cutters and anything else you might need for a festive holiday on my Amazon Store here!

  • Shamrock Hummus Dip: Slice the green bell pepper 1/2 to 1/3 of the way down, depending on its shape. The goal is to create a shamrock-like look when filled with hummus. Fill the bottom part with hummus and slice the remaining pepper into strips for dipping. You can also serve with carrot sticks for extra green and orange color contrast.

Step 2: Assemble the Board

  1. Start with the centerpiece: Place the shamrock brie wheel slightly off-center for a visually appealing layout.
  2. Arrange the fruits:
    • Place a big bunch of green grapes (washed!) on one side.
    • Distribute the fancy-cut kiwis in small clusters on both sides.
    • Halve the mandarin orange and place one half on each side.
  3. Add the cheese and crackers:
    • Position slices of Irish cheddar next to the grapes.
    • Add crackers in a natural pile near the center.
  4. Place the hummus-filled green pepper:
    • Position it near the center for easy access.
    • Arrange the sliced peppers next to it for dipping.
  5. Fill in with bread and cheese balls:
    • Arrange small slices of sourdough behind the brie.
    • Add orange cheese balls in the last remaining space for a pop of color and crunch.

Tips for the Perfect Charcuterie Board

  • Use what you have! Charcuterie doesn’t need to be expensive—many of these elements were already in my pantry or fridge.
  • Overlap ingredients for a natural look. Avoid perfect rows; charcuterie should feel organic and abundant.
  • Adjust to your taste! Swap out ingredients for your favorites or to fit dietary needs.

A Fun & Festive Way to Celebrate!

This St. Patrick’s Day Charcuterie Board is perfect as a meal, appetizer, or party dish. It’s easy to customize, visually stunning, and a great way to celebrate the holiday. Description

A festive and colorful charcuterie board featuring green and orange ingredients, perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with friends and family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Bunch Green grapes

  • 2 kiwis

  • 1 mandarin orange

  • 1 wheel of brie

  • 2 tbsp apricot jam (or pesto for a green alternative)

  • Your favorite bread (e.g., homemade sourdough)

  • Irish cheddar cheese

  • 1 green pepper

  • Hummus

  • Crackers (gluten-free recommended)

  • Orange cheese balls (e.g., Lesser Evil pizza-flavored puffs)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the kiwi: Take a small knife and cut a zig-zag pattern around the middle of the kiwi (think Charlie Brown’s iconic shirt). Pull the pieces apart to reveal a decorative cut.

  2. Prepare the brie: Slice the top 1/4 off the wheel of brie, leaving the bottom 3/4 intact. Spread apricot jam on the bottom 3/4. Using a small knife or a shamrock cookie cutter, carve a shamrock shape in the top 1/4. Place it back on top so the jam shows through.

  3. Prepare the green pepper: Cut the pepper 1/2 to 1/3 of the way down, depending on its shape, to create a shamrock-like bowl. Fill it with hummus. Slice the remaining pepper into strips for dipping.

  4. Assemble the board:

    • Place the shamrock brie wheel as a focal point.

    • Arrange the green grapes in a large bunch.

    • Position the kiwis on both sides of the board.

    • Slice and place the mandarin halves on opposite sides.

    • Arrange cheddar cheese next to the grapes and in another area for balance.

    • Position the hummus-filled green pepper next to the cheese.

    • Place the sliced pepper strips between the pepper and other elements.

    • Fill any gaps with crackers, bread slices, and cheese balls to complete the display.

  5. Enjoy! Serve as a meal, appetizer, or party dish.

  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
