If you’re looking for a simple make at home granola that tastes better than the store this is the one to make!
One of my go to, inexpensive, high protein breakfasts is greek yogurt with fresh berries and this protein granola recipe. I can make up a batch on Sunday with only 4 ingredients and not only enjoy this as a breakfast but also as a snack or dessert.
How to Make the 4-Ingredient Protein Granola Recipe
This one almost doesn’t even need a recipe card. Simply mix together:
2 cups of rolled oats
1/2 cup of your favorite protein powder (I really like this one)
1/3 cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
Spread the mixture over a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, stirring half way through. Remove the granola from the oven and give it another good mix before it cools. After the granola cools, you can eat it as is or add in extras like dried fruit, nuts, or even chocolate chips!
What to Serve With the Granola
I personally really enjoy the granola over a mixture of greek yogurt and mixed berries but you could serve it with milk or add extras to your yogurt parfait. While I love fresh berries, I’ve found that defrosting frozen berries can be just as delicious and highly cost effective. Frozen blueberries are my favorite frozen fruit choice.
If you’re looking for something more, here are some ideas to add to your yogurt mixture:
- Chocolate Chips
- Coconut chips
- Maple Syrup
- Honey
- Dried Fruit
- Chopped Nuts
- Feel free to comment below with your favorite toppings!
