These Patriots cookies are soft, chewy peanut butter M&M cookies inspired by Anne Michael Maye and made for Super Bowl weekend. Loaded with red and blue peanut butter M&M’s and baked until perfectly golden, they’re the ultimate game day dessert for New England Patriots fans. Festive, crowd-pleasing, and easy to make, these Patriots cookies are ideal for Super Bowl parties, football gatherings, and anyone searching for a themed cookie that actually tastes amazing.

Ingredients

Scale

Wet Ingredients

3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar plus 2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 large egg

1 egg yolk

2 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/3 cup milk

Dry Ingredients

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/3 teaspoon baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

Mix-Ins (Patriots Theme)

All of the red and blue peanut butter M&M’s from a shareable-size bag

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Add dry ingredients to the wet and mix until just combined.

  6. Stir in the ⅓ cup milk until the dough comes together.

  7. Fold in the red and blue peanut butter M&M’s.

  8. Scoop dough (about 1½ Tbsp) onto the baking sheet. Press about 3 M&M’s on top of each cookie and flatten slightly with your hand.

  9. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and, if desired, use a round cookie cutter or mason jar top to turn each cookie into a uniform circle. (Optional but helps them look bakery-perfect.)

  10. Return to the oven for 2 minutes more.

  11. Let cool for 5 minutes on the pan, then transfer to a cooling rack.
