Ingredients
- 4 ripe avocados
- 1/2 onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (or 1.5 teaspoons dried cilantro)
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 to 1 jalapeño, minced (optional, depending on spice preference)
- Cherry or grape tomatoes (for decoration)
- Tortilla chips (for serving)
Instructions
-
Prepare the Ingredients:
Finely dice 1/2 an onion and mince a jalapeño (optional) for spice. Slice your cherry or grape tomatoes in half to use as decorative “berries” for the wreath. -
Mash the Avocados:
In a large bowl, peel and pit the 4 avocados. Add the diced onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mash everything together with a potato masher or fork until smooth, or use an immersion blender if you prefer creamy guacamole. -
Add Extra Flavor:
Sprinkle in garlic powder (optional) to enhance the flavor. Mix well. -
Shape the Wreath:
Transfer the guacamole to a large platter and gently form it into the shape of a wreath using a spoon or your hands. -
Decorate the Wreath:
Arrange the halved cherry or grape tomatoes around the wreath to resemble the berries of a wreath. You can also add other toppings like red bell pepper or olives for more color. -
Serve:
Place a bowl of tortilla chips in the center of the wreath for dipping. Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
