Description

This Guacamole Wreath is a creative and healthy appetizer that’s perfect for holiday parties. Packed with fresh avocados, lime, cilantro, and just the right amount of seasoning, it’s a light, flavorful dip that will impress your guests. Shaped into a festive wreath and decorated with cherry tomatoes, this guacamole is a fun twist on a classic. Serve it with chips or veggies in the center for dipping and enjoy the fresh, zesty flavor in every bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (or 1.5 teaspoons dried cilantro)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 to 1 jalapeño, minced (optional, depending on spice preference)
  • Cherry or grape tomatoes (for decoration)
  • Tortilla chips (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
Finely dice 1/2 an onion and mince a jalapeño (optional) for spice. Slice your cherry or grape tomatoes in half to use as decorative “berries” for the wreath.

  2. Mash the Avocados:
In a large bowl, peel and pit the 4 avocados. Add the diced onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mash everything together with a potato masher or fork until smooth, or use an immersion blender if you prefer creamy guacamole.

  3. Add Extra Flavor:
Sprinkle in garlic powder (optional) to enhance the flavor. Mix well.

  4. Shape the Wreath:
Transfer the guacamole to a large platter and gently form it into the shape of a wreath using a spoon or your hands.

  5. Decorate the Wreath:
Arrange the halved cherry or grape tomatoes around the wreath to resemble the berries of a wreath. You can also add other toppings like red bell pepper or olives for more color.

  6. Serve:
Place a bowl of tortilla chips in the center of the wreath for dipping. Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
