Ingredients
- 1 whole baguette (or brioche or leftover bread)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup blueberries (or 1/2 cup as called for)
- 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced (or frozen berries)
- Powdered sugar for garnish

Prepare the Dish:
Spray a 9×6-inch casserole pan with non-stick spray. Slice the baguette (or brioche) into chunks and arrange them in the pan. -
Make the Custard:
In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, cinnamon, vanilla, brown sugar, and eggs until fully combined. -
Assemble the Casserole:
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread, ensuring all the bread pieces are well-coated. Sprinkle the blueberries and sliced strawberries over the top. -
Chill Overnight:
Cover the casserole with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 4 hours). -
Bake:
Preheat the oven to 350°F the next morning. Remove the plastic wrap and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the casserole is golden and set in the middle. -
Serve:
Let the casserole cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving warm.
