Fluffy Russet Mashed Potatoes Recipe

  • Author: Maria Ronan

Description

In this delightful recipe, I’m creating the perfect side dish – creamy and rich Mashed Potatoes. These mashed potatoes are made with love and a touch of comfort, using Russet potatoes, butter, and cream. Whether it’s a holiday feast or a weeknight dinner, this classic side dish is always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Russet potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel the 2 large Russet potatoes and cut them into larger chunks for quicker boiling.

  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and generously salt it.

  3. Add the potato chunks to the boiling water and cook for about 12 minutes or until they are easily pierced with a fork.

  4. Drain the potatoes and let them cool for a while.

  5. Run the cooled potatoes through a ricer into a mixing bowl.

  6. Add 4 tablespoons of melted butter and 1/2 cup of heavy cream to the potatoes for a rich and creamy texture.

  7. Mix everything together until you achieve the desired consistency and taste. Adjust the amount of salt as needed. Pour into a baking dish.

  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and enjoy!
