- 2 sticks softened butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 cups chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
- In an electric mixer, cream butter and both sugars until fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix until creamy.
- Slowly add the flour mix until smooth.
- Add chocolate and nuts and mix until just combined.
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Use a little less than 1/4 cup of dough for each cookie on the sheet.
- Place the dough 2 inches apart, about 8 per sheet.
- Cook for 21 minutes and cool on the baking sheet for an hour before serving.
