  • 1 cup warm water
  • 0.25 ounces (1 packet) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2.5 cups bread flour
  • 1 block Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 block cheddar cheese
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Pizza sauce

Instructions

  2. Add olive oil, salt, and bread flour. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Spread the dough into a well oiled 9×13 pan, to prevent sticking. Let it rise for an hour in a warm spot.

  5. After the dough rises, top with pepperoni, cheese cubes, and 3 lines of pizza sauce.
  6. Top the pizza sauce lines with more pepperoni.
  7. Bake at 525 degrees for 15 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  8. Cool for a few minutes, and slide the pizza out of the pan and on to a cutting board.
  9. Slice the pizza into squares with a knife of pizza cutter.
  10. Serve and enjoy your delicious Detroit-style square pizza!
