Description

Elevate your Christmas feast with my Christmas Green Beans Recipe, a delightful twist on a holiday classic. The magic lies in a sweet and salty sauce crafted from butter, maple syrup, and soy sauce. Joining this flavorful dance are walnuts and Craisins, creating a festive medley that’s both colorful and crunchy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 112oz bag of frozen cut green beans
  • 2 tablespoons butter (or oil/margarine)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup of walnuts
  • 1/4 cup of Craisins (or pecans as an alternative)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Green Beans: Prepare the green beans according to package instructions. (I like to use the microwave for mine)
  2. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter (or use oil/margarine).
    • Add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce.
    • Stir together to create a sweet and salty sauce.
  3. Create the Flavorful Medley:

    • Add walnuts and Craisins to the sauce.
    • If you prefer, pecans are a delightful alternative, readily available at Dollar Tree.
  4. Toast and Coat:

    • Toast the nut and Craisin medley in the sauce until everything is well-coated.
    • Add in the green beans and ensure they are thoroughly mixed into this delightful concoction.
  5. Enjoy the Festive Feast:

    • Present this Christmas Green Beans dish as a celebration of festive flavors and textures.
    • The combination of vibrant green beans, rich walnuts, and sweet Craisins brings joy to your holiday table.
