Description
These easy Cherry Danish bites are made with crescent roll dough, a creamy cheesecake filling, and sweet cherry topping for a quick, bakery-style treat!
Ingredients
-
8 oz cream cheese, softened
-
1 egg, separated (yolk for filling, white for brushing)
-
¼ cup powdered sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 tsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
-
2 cans crescent rolls
-
1 tbsp granulated sugar
-
½ cup cherry pie filling
Instructions
-
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, egg yolk, powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice (if using). Mix until smooth and creamy.
-
Open the crescent roll cans and divide each into four equal sections (for a total of eight pieces). Flatten each section into a 3–4 inch circle or oval.
-
Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the center of each pastry.
-
Brush the edges of each pastry with the reserved egg white using a pastry brush.
-
Sprinkle granulated sugar over the pastries.
-
Air fry at 380°F for 5 minutes, then reduce to 320°F for another 5 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
-
Top each pastry with a spoonful of cherry pie filling before serving.
-
Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
Notes
-
Use what you have: Swap lemon juice for bottled lemon or omit it entirely.
-
Make it your own: Try different fruit fillings like raspberry jam or keep it classic with just the cream cheese mixture.
-
No air fryer? Bake in the oven at 375°F for 12-15 minutes until golden.
