Description

These easy Cherry Danish bites are made with crescent roll dough, a creamy cheesecake filling, and sweet cherry topping for a quick, bakery-style treat!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg, separated (yolk for filling, white for brushing)
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ cup cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, egg yolk, powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice (if using). Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Open the crescent roll cans and divide each into four equal sections (for a total of eight pieces). Flatten each section into a 3–4 inch circle or oval.
  3. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the center of each pastry.
  4. Brush the edges of each pastry with the reserved egg white using a pastry brush.
  5. Sprinkle granulated sugar over the pastries.
  6. Air fry at 380°F for 5 minutes, then reduce to 320°F for another 5 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
  7. Top each pastry with a spoonful of cherry pie filling before serving.
  8. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!

Notes

  • Use what you have: Swap lemon juice for bottled lemon or omit it entirely.
  • Make it your own: Try different fruit fillings like raspberry jam or keep it classic with just the cream cheese mixture.
  • No air fryer? Bake in the oven at 375°F for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  • Buy in bulk: Crescent rolls and canned pie filling often go on sale—stock up and save!
