As I flung open my cabinets looking for some honey for my tea, my eyes caught a glance at a section of the kitchen that I often overlook. In my cabinet beside my salt, pepper, honey, and steak seasonings sit my seasoning packets. Think Lipton Soup Mix, Au Jus Gravy, and Hidden Valley Ranch Mix. Yes, I had all three and then some. While I shop my panty each week (using my free “Stick to Your Budget Checklist“) , this section often goes overlooked and I thought it might be a good idea to give it some attention. And so, the BBQ Ranch Chicken Sandwich was born!
The BBQ Ranch Chicken Sandwich is So Simple!
I’m a sucker for a simple recipe that utilizes items I already have on hand. I landed on this sandwich because I was able to not only use the ranch seasoning packet but also a leftover bottle of BBQ sauce from my fridge. Mix both together in a bag or bowl and marinate for 20 minutes. Then grill the chicken to 165 degrees and place on a bun with your favorite toppings. Here are some topping ideas: cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and/or mayo.
