Meal Plan Goals

This $50 7 Day Family Meal Plan achieves several essential goals:

  1. Keeping Things Simple: With quick and easy meal options, this plan is perfect for busy families who need meals on the table fast.
  2. Adult and Kid-Friendly: Whether you’re feeding adults or picky eaters, there’s something for everyone in this meal plan. Every dish is designed to appeal to both adults and children.
  3. Well-Rounded Meals: Each meal in the plan is carefully crafted to be balanced with veggies, protein, and starch, ensuring that your family gets the nutrition they need for a healthy lifestyle.

Tips for Success:

With the cost of groceries on the rise, families are constantly seeking ways to stretch their dollars further without sacrificing the quality of their meals. This meal plan is created based on Walmart prices in New Hampshire but it’s understood that not everyone has the same prices or Walmart as an option. That’s where smart shopping strategies come into play. Whether you’re a seasoned budget-conscious shopper or new to the game, navigating the aisles of your local grocery store can be overwhelming, especially when trying to stick to a tight budget.

This is where “Tips for Success” come in handy. Designed to help you make the most of your grocery budget, these tips are tailored to accommodate varying food prices and shopping options, ensuring that you can still enjoy these delicious and nutritious meals without breaking the bank. From exploring alternative stores to utilizing ingredients you already have on hand, these strategies are sure to revolutionize the way you approach grocery shopping, empowering you to make savvy choices that benefit both your wallet and your family’s well-being.

  1. Adapt to Local Prices: Although this meal plan is tailored to Walmart food prices in New Hampshire, remember that actual prices may vary in your area. However, the plan is structured to remain more affordable than other options.
  2. Explore Alternative Stores: If Walmart isn’t accessible, consider other budget-friendly options like local low-cost grocery stores or Aldi for your shopping needs. These stores often offer competitive prices on everyday essentials.
  3. Shop Your Own Cabinets: Before heading out to shop, take inventory of what you already have in your pantry and fridge. You might be surprised by how many ingredients you already own, reducing the items you need to purchase. This simple step can save you both time and money!

    curry chicken in crock pot

      ranch ritz chicken

      Dinner 5:

Slow Cooker Ritz Chicken With Green Beans – This is a classic that is such a treat on a menu like this!

baked chicken and rice in a casserole dish

      Dinner 6:

Baked Chicken and Rice With Roasted Broccoli – The original baked chicken and rice is here and I just adjusted it by using chicken breasts vs. chicken thighs.

      Roasted Broccoli:

      Ingredients:

1 large head of broccoli cut into florets

      2 tablespoons olive oil

      3 cloves garlic, minced

      0.5 teaspoons salt

      0.25 teaspoons black pepper

Optional- Fresh lemon juice and parmesan cheese

      Instructions:

      1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl.

      2. Pour the broccoli on to a parchment lined backing sheet and distribute evenly.

      3. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until the broccoli is cooked according to your liking.

4 Optional: Squeeze fresh lemon on the broccoli and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

      Dinner 7:

Leftovers! I always recommend having a leftovers night because there is undoubtedly this and that left at the end of every week. It’s a great way to avoid waste and save money!

The meal plan also allowed for some roll over ingredients such as extra rice, buttery crackers, and flour tortillas! I recommend using my “Stick to Your Budget Checklist” to plan out next week’s meals and be sure to include those roll over items to make your pantry friendly meals!
