Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe·Leave a Review

This honey dijon slow cooker ham recipe will fill your home with the most delicious aromas! And amazingly, it tastes even better than it smells! And, that’s not all! It’s not only incredibly delicious but also incredibly easy to prepare. Plus, it’s perfect for special occasions, holidays, or any day you’re craving an exquisite meal. Get your slow cooker ready; it’s time to learn how to create a mouthwatering masterpiece.

Slow Cooker Ham Recipe: A Simple and Tasty Feast

I’ve made this recipe for multiple occasions including Easter, and Christmas, and it’s ALWAYS a success! When I first made it I referred to it as “pulled pork” by accident, but was pleasantly surprised when it was literally so juicy and falling apart once it cooked. It’s certinly the most pulled pork, juicy, ham I’ve ever made…and I’m not mad. Try it and you won’t be disappointed!

Ingredients for Success

First, gather an ensemble of ingredients that will transform an ordinary ham into a sublime delicacy. To make this savory delight, you’ll need:

  • A bone-in pork butt (ham)
  • 3/4 cup of light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of honey
  • 1/2 cup of Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup of apple juice

Cooking in harmony: The Method Behind the Magic

Step-by-Step Perfection

  1. Start early because this culinary adventure is an 8-hour affair. But the 8 hours after the initial prep requires no effort on your part so sit back and relax.
  2. Begin by preparing the ham. Trim any excess fat to ensure a perfect balance of flavors and a succulent texture.
  3. With a sharp knife, make a series of cuts in the ham, forming a beautiful diamond pattern. Each cut should be about 1/2 inch apart and penetrate about 1/4 inch deep.
  4. Carefully place your meticulously prepared ham into the welcoming embrace of your slow cooker.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the light brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and apple juice to create a tantalizing glaze that will infuse your ham with flavor.
  6. Pour the delectable glaze over the ham in your slow cooker, ensuring that the ham is evenly coated with this elixir of deliciousness.
  7. Set your slow cooker to “low” and let the ham cook for 8 hours. During this time, the flavors will meld, and the meat will become incredibly tender, making each bite a delightful experience.
  8. Once your slow cooker has worked its magic, you’ll be rewarded with ham that is so succulent and tender that it practically falls off the bone. At this stage, you can choose to carve it into slices or shred it for an alternative presentation.

A culinary Triumph: Serve and Savor

The Perfect Meal for Every Occasion

Your effort will be rewarded with a ham that is beautifully caramelized and bursting with sweet and savory flavors. This dish is perfect for a variety of occasions, whether it’s a festive holiday gathering, a cozy family dinner, or even meal prep for the week. Pair it with your favorite side dishes, such as my Moms Famous Dill Potatoes, Mouthwatering Sweet Potatoes, or Time Tested Spinach Rice. The versatility of this slow cooker ham recipe makes it a year-round favorite.

Slow Cooker Magic!

Unlock the full potential of your slow cooker with this mouthwatering ham recipe. With minimal effort, you can create a meal that will impress your family and friends, leaving them craving more. Let the incredible combination of brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and apple juice elevate your next dining experience to a whole new level.
